“The Rajagala Residence” consists of 26 acres. At is located beside the Kandy Mahiyanganaya main road (A 20). Which is easily accessible. it is bound by the Rajagala hill fort, where the palace of the last king of the Malabar dynasty, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe was built. The two streams flowing at the two boundaries of the hotel adds more beauty to the surrounding.
The Johnston Bungalow was built in the 1920 by Mr. Richard George Jhonston and his wife Mrs. Anne who was a couple from Great Britain. It contains five spacious bedrooms. It is located of a pleasing natural environment. The pure water supply from the fountains of the premises of the hotel is used for the consumption of the hotel. The direct falling of sunlight is ideal for sunbathing. The bungalow outlooks the beauty of the Hathpola Falls.
The grove contains tea, cloves and pepper. Its rich in fruits like mangoes, Avocado, Guava……………. . Hard wood like Mahogany, Jack, Sabukku, Finesse are to be seen at the premises the medicinal herbs that you find here are innumerable. It is the habitat of the long tailed squirrel, parrots, Jungle fowls, Squirrels, paroquets, porcupine, several species of gabbler birds, wild boar and mongoose.
The fully furnished bungalow known as the “Rajagala Residence” carters to the needs of the ecofriendly lovers all over the world.
